Cavatelli And Broccoli Recipe

Firehouse Favorite. Quick, cheap and easy. Double or triple batches as needed

Ingredients
- 1 lb bag Frozen Cavatelli or favorite pasta
- 1 bunch Fresh Broccoli
- 1-2 Cloves fresh garlic or more if desired
- olive oil
- 1/4 stick butter
- 1 cup chicken broth (use a cube)
- Grated romano cheese
- crushed red and or black pepper to taste
Directions
- Cook Cavatelli or pasta as directed on package
- Chop broccoli
- Chop garlic and toast in olive oil
- Add broccoli, stir fry like for a couple of minutes.
- Add chicken broth and simmer
- Drain Cavatelli or pasta
- Melt butter in pasta pot
- Return Cavatelli to pot
- Add grated Romano cheese and stir
- Add broccoli and broth to Cavatelli an mix well
- Add crushed red pepper and or black pepper and grated Romano cheese to individual servings to taste
- Serve with fresh Italian bread and salad

This was quick simple easy delicious!!! i used rotini along with frozen broccoli/cauliflower florets since that was what i had in the house. it came out sooooo yummy! and the best part is i am eating veggies! (i normally hate them). great recipe- thanx!
