Ingredients

How to make it

  • Cook Cavatelli or pasta as directed on package
  • Chop broccoli
  • Chop garlic and toast in olive oil
  • Add broccoli, stir fry like for a couple of minutes.
  • Add chicken broth and simmer
  • Drain Cavatelli or pasta
  • Melt butter in pasta pot
  • Return Cavatelli to pot
  • Add grated Romano cheese and stir
  • Add broccoli and broth to Cavatelli an mix well
  • Add crushed red pepper and or black pepper and grated Romano cheese to individual servings to taste
  • Serve with fresh Italian bread and salad

    When I don't have any fresh veggies I use tons of frozen peas. It's soooooooo yummy.

    this was quick simple easy delicious!!! i used rotini along with frozen broccoli/cauliflower florets since that was what i had in the house. it came out sooooo yummy! and the best part is i am eating veggies! (i normally hate them). great recipe- thanx!

    I made this dish for dinner this evening...long day at wok and just wanted something filling and warm for my family. Excellent! I used frozen chopped broccoli florets and a bit more garlic. Easy dish, and eveyone loved the taste. Some great bread....we were all set. Thanks...keep those firehouse recipes coming! I have always heard the firemen are great cooks!
