There is nothing fancy about this cake. A great coffee cake. You can use whatever pie filling you wish. I make this in a pinch.

Ingredients
  • Cream together:
  • 1/2 pound margarine (sweet butter)
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • Add one at a time, 4 eggs mixing in well
  • add:
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • add:
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • dash of salt(never use it in my cakes)
  • 1 can cherry pie filling, or what fruit filling you need mix in 1 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract

Directions
  1. 350
  2. grease 9 x 13 pan and flour it.
  3. pour 3/4 of batter into pan.
  4. place on fruit
  5. then top with rest of batter
  6. bake 40-45 minutes, test
