Cherry Cake Recipe

There is nothing fancy about this cake. A great coffee cake. You can use whatever pie filling you wish. I make this in a pinch.

Ingredients
- Cream together:
- 1/2 pound margarine (sweet butter)
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- Add one at a time, 4 eggs mixing in well
- add:
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- add:
- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- dash of salt(never use it in my cakes)
- 1 can cherry pie filling, or what fruit filling you need mix in 1 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
Directions
- 350
- grease 9 x 13 pan and flour it.
- pour 3/4 of batter into pan.
- place on fruit
- then top with rest of batter
- bake 40-45 minutes, test
