Lemon Eggs in Foccacia

- 1 foccacia bread loaf shopping list
- 2 TBS of olive oil shopping list
- 1/2 lemon juiced and zested shopping list
- 4 eggs shopping list
- 1/4 cup basil leaves, chopped shopping list
- 1/2 cup Parmesan shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. pepper shopping list
- 1 cup of half and half shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Cut the top off the foccacia and hollow out the bread inside.
- Tear the top of the foccacia and cut it into pieces, put aside
- In a small bowl combine the olive oil, lemon juice and lemon zest
- Brush the olive oil mixture on the inside of the bread
- Bake the bread for 10 minutes.
- While the bread crisps up in the oven, whisk together the eggs, basil, cheese, salt, pepper and milk.
- Stir in the bread pieces, do not exceed 4 cups
- Pour egg mixture into foccacia and bake for 35 minutes.
