Curried Beans

- 6 medium onions shopping list
- 1 kg green beans (cut into 2,5 cm pieces) shopping list
- 20 ml mild curry powder shopping list
- 5 ml finely ground black pepper shopping list
- 10 ml salt shopping list
- 5 ml turmeric shopping list
- 10 whole cloves shopping list
- 4 lemon leaves shopping list
- 190 ml sugar shopping list
- 250 ml white grape vinegar shopping list
- 4 cloves garlic shopping list
- 5 large tomatoes shopping list
- 410 g peach slices shopping list
How to make it
- Gently boil the onions and beans in lightly salted water until done but still crisp. Drain.
- Meanwhile heat the remaining ingredients in a large saucepan, stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Simmer slowly.
- Add the vegetables and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Simmer until thick and done and spoon into sterilized glass jars.
- Seal tightly and store in a cool, dark place.
