How to make it

  • Gently boil the onions and beans in lightly salted water until done but still crisp. Drain.
  • Meanwhile heat the remaining ingredients in a large saucepan, stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Simmer slowly.
  • Add the vegetables and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Simmer until thick and done and spoon into sterilized glass jars.
  • Seal tightly and store in a cool, dark place.

    am v busy at work these days, the run up to christmas, plus am out the office and on the road as one of our drivers is off for months. not that i mind the driving but i do miss my pc ha ha

    i find most butchers happy to make up a portion of borewors I just give them the spices and the recipe goes down v well with the curried beans

    Hey, instead of adding these to sterilized jars and storing what if i just keep them in a covered container in the fridge to eat up within the week?! haha... thats usually how our 3 bean salad goes down. It would be a waste of time to bottle them lol....
