This is a hearty soup for those cold winter nights, serve with a salad and crusty bread and you have a great dinner.

Ingredients
  • 3/4 lb. boneless pork, such as cutlets
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, diced
  • 3 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 3 cups water
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram leaves
  • 2 cups ( 2 large) diced and peeled potatoes
  • 1 can (4 oz ) mushooms stems an pieces
  • 1/2 medium green pepper, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons diced pimiento
  • Chopped parsley, preferably Italian-style

Directions
  1. Cut pork n 1/2-inchcubes. Shake wih flour in plastic bag until coated.
  2. Heat oil in 3-quart saucepan.Add pork and brown lightly.
  3. Add onion. Saute 2 to 3 minutes longer. Add celery, bouillon cubes,water and marjoram. Bring to boiling. Cover and simmer 15 minutes.
  4. Add potatoes and mushrooms with liquid. bring to boiling again. Covr and simmer 10 minutes. Stir in green pepper and pimiento. Simmer 5 minutes more.
  5. Sprinkle with parsley. Ladle into bowls.

I added egg noodles and carrots to the recip. Came out more like a stew but it was oh so good!
