Baked French Toast Casserole from Miss Paula

- 1 loaf French bread shopping list
- 8 eggs shopping list
- 2 cups half and half shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
- 2 Tbsp. sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon shopping list
- 1/8 tsp. nutmeg (freshly grated) shopping list
- dash salt shopping list
- Praline Topping: shopping list
- 2 sticks butter, softened shopping list
- 1 cup packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1 cup chopped pecans (optional) shopping list
- 2 Tbsp. light corn syrup shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon shopping list
- 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg shopping list
- Blend together well and spread over top of bread (like frosting). shopping list
- Bake casserole for 45-60 minutes at 350 degrees until puffed and lightly golden. shopping list
How to make it
- Slice bread into 1-inch slices.
- Arrange slices in generously buttered 9 x 13 in casserole, in 2 rows, overlapping slices.
- Beat together the rest of the ingredients and pour over bread, making sure all bread is covered evenly, spooning in between the slices.
- Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.

it sounds like a great recipe but you don't have to use corn syrup you can use honey, there are those of us who don't like to use corn syrup, thanks for the post, 5 forks
