- CORNBREAD: shopping list
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal shopping list
- 1 cup white flour shopping list
- 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 4 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil shopping list
- One 4-oz can cream style corn shopping list
- 3/4 cup velveeta grated shopping list
- FILLING: shopping list
- 1 pound ground beef shopping list
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup ketchup shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons sweet pickle relish shopping list
- 1/2 cup velveeta, grated shopping list
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese shopping list
- SAUCE: shopping list
- 1/4 cup cold water shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon cornstarch shopping list
- One 16-oz can stewed tomatoes, cut up shopping list
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce shopping list
How to make it
- Mix cornbread ingredients, adding cream style corn and 3/4 cup cheese.
- Spread 1/2 the batter in a greased 8x8x2 baking pan.
- Brown ground beef, drain off grease. Add ketchup and relish and spread on batter. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup velveeta and parmesan cheese.
- Top with remaining batter. Bake at 350 for 45 to 55 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting.
- Prepare the sauce by combining watwr and cornstarch in small saucepan. Stir in tomatoes and worcestershire. Cook and stir til thickens and bubbles.Serve over cornbread squares
