How to make it

  • Mix cornbread ingredients, adding cream style corn and 3/4 cup cheese.
  • Spread 1/2 the batter in a greased 8x8x2 baking pan.
  • Brown ground beef, drain off grease. Add ketchup and relish and spread on batter. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup velveeta and parmesan cheese.
  • Top with remaining batter. Bake at 350 for 45 to 55 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting.
  • Prepare the sauce by combining watwr and cornstarch in small saucepan. Stir in tomatoes and worcestershire. Cook and stir til thickens and bubbles.Serve over cornbread squares

    wow... this is a cross over or back... between a sloppy joe on cornbread and a tamale pie.. Have to try this one... Thanks the kids will love it and so will I!
