Caramel Brownies

- 1 box German chocolate cake mix shopping list
- 1/2 c. melted butter shopping list
- 1/3 c. evaporated milk shopping list
- 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips shopping list
- 14 oz. bag Kraft caramels, unwrapped shopping list
- 1/3 c. evaporated milk shopping list
How to make it
- Pre-heat oven to 350º
- Melt caramels with 1/3 c. evaporated milk on low, stirring constantly until smooth.
- Remove from heat, but keep warm.
- Mix cake mix with melted butter and 1/3 c. evaporated milk. Batter will have a dough-like consistency.
- Spread half the batter in a greased 9x13” baking pan and bake for 6 minutes.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over batter.
- Pour melted caramel mixture over chocolate chips.
- Crumble remaining batter over caramel and return to oven.
- Bake an additional 15-20 minutes.
