How to make it

  • Pre-heat oven to 350º
  • Melt caramels with 1/3 c. evaporated milk on low, stirring constantly until smooth.
  • Remove from heat, but keep warm.
  • Mix cake mix with melted butter and 1/3 c. evaporated milk. Batter will have a dough-like consistency.
  • Spread half the batter in a greased 9x13” baking pan and bake for 6 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over batter.
  • Pour melted caramel mixture over chocolate chips.
  • Crumble remaining batter over caramel and return to oven.
  • Bake an additional 15-20 minutes.
