Sauced Up Asparagus Or Green Beans

- 1 pound fresh green beans (or fresh asparagus) shopping list
- 2 tablespoons finely diced onion shopping list
- 1 teaspoon butter shopping list
- ¼ cup white wine shopping list
- 1 tablespoon instant minced onion shopping list
- ¾ cup Miracle Whip shopping list
- 1 teaspoon fresh squeezed lemon juice shopping list
- ¼ cup chopped cashews shopping list
How to make it
- Wash, trim and cut fresh green beans (or asparagus) into desired size. Cook in enough water to keep the pan from going dry, until the bean are tender but still a bit crisp.
- While veggie are cooking, saute diced onions In a separate pan until golden.
- In another saucepan, pour white wine over minced onion and let stand for 5 minutes; turn the burner on to medium heat and stir Miracle Whip and lemon juice into minced onions/wine mixture - heat sauce just to boiling point (do not allow to boil!)
- to serve, place drained green beans (or asparagus) on serving platter and top with sauce, then top with cashews and sautéed onions.
