How to make it

  • Wash, trim and cut fresh green beans (or asparagus) into desired size. Cook in enough water to keep the pan from going dry, until the bean are tender but still a bit crisp.
  • While veggie are cooking, saute diced onions In a separate pan until golden.
  • In another saucepan, pour white wine over minced onion and let stand for 5 minutes; turn the burner on to medium heat and stir Miracle Whip and lemon juice into minced onions/wine mixture - heat sauce just to boiling point (do not allow to boil!)
  • to serve, place drained green beans (or asparagus) on serving platter and top with sauce, then top with cashews and sautéed onions.
