Easy Corn Chowder Recipe
I would make this for a warm lunch on a cold wintery day.. My Nephew would always ask for this.. even in the summer! ( NOT Gluten Free)

Ingredients
  • 1/4 to 1/2 lb lean bacon cut into 1'' pieces
  • 1 med size onion chopped
  • 2 cans Cream of Potato soup.. the concentrated kind
  • 1 15 oz. creamed corn
  • 1 15 oz. can evaporated milk
  • butter
  • garlic powder
  • pepper
  • paprika

Directions
  1. In a heavy pot put chopped bacon saute until done but not crispy
  2. add onion saute until soft
  3. drain out any excess bacon fat.. leave some for favor
  4. add cans of potato soup mix and let warm thru. this gives it flavor
  5. add can of cream of corn mix well
  6. add evaporated milk to desired thickness. can add a little water
  7. add garlic powder and pepper to taste
  8. heat thru. I let it simmer for 5 mins or so
  9. dish up put a pat of butter in center of bowl and dust with paprika
  10. serve with crackers or toast points or biscuits
