How to make it

  • Drop room temp egg yolk into blender
  • Turn Blender on
  • Drizzle oil into blender until it starts to look creamy
  • When it has emulsified add salt, lemon juice and paprika
  • Turn off blender
  • Scrape into bowl
  • Add seasonings to taste
  • Discard after 3 days

    I tried to make homemade mayo once before and swore never to again. Maybe I did it wrong. Is this a good recipe?

    I've never tried to make it by hand, but I imagine it would be like whipping cream or egg whites by hand. Probably long and tedious :)
