Ingredients
  • 1 lb. bag of refrigerator sauerkraut
  • 1 large Idaho potato, peeled and sliced
  • 3 smoked pork chops
  • 2 knockwurst sausages
  • 1 link of Polish Kielbasa
  • salt and pepper (1/2 tsp of each)
  • 1/2 tsp of caraway seeds
  • 1 12 ounce can of amber bock beer

Directions
  1. Salt and pepper sliced potatoes and chops.
  2. Place in layers in the slow cooker pot:
  3. sauerkraut, potatoes, sauerkraut, pork chops, sauerkraut, knockwurst, sauerkraut, kielbasa.
  4. Sprinkle with caraway.
  5. Pour the beer over all.
  6. Cook on low for 8 hours.
  7. Serve with mustard, bread and butter.

Oh,yum! This sounds great Tina.


This really does sound good! I love everything in it. Have never combined potatoes and sauerkraut in the same meal...much less dish! But I see so many recipes that calls for both. This is on the grocery list, on the menu next week.


Had this for dinner last night and it was absolutely delicious. Nice hearty meal for a cold night!
