Baked Ham With Spicy Glaze Recipe
This has been a favorite for 35 years. The aroma will make your mouth water. Short prep, then marinade 4 hours or overnight I've used every weight of ham from 5 lbs up to 16. Just increase the recipe according to size of ham.

Ingredients
  • 1 C pineapple juice
  • ¾ c light brown sugar
  • 2 tsp dry mustard
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • ½ tsp ginger
  • 3 tsp rum or rum extract
  • 1 5 lb fully cooked, cured ham, shank or butt portion

Directions
  1. Over medium heat, blend until sugar us dissolved, simmer 3 mins.
  2. Add rum, stir
  3. Pierce fully cooked ham all over with fork
  4. Pour marinade over ham, let stand four hours, basting often
  5. Bake @ 325 for about an hour, increase temperature to 425, remove ham and add cloves and pineapple slices, cook another 30 mins, basting occasionally
