FASOLAKIA GREEN BEANS IN TOMATO SAUCE

- 1 kilo of fresh green runner beans washed and ends broken shopping list
- 1 big onion finely chopped shopping list
- 2 big potatoes cut in 4 or 6 pieces each shopping list
- 1 can (400gr.) of tomatoes in juice or 4 – 5 ripe fresh tomatoes shopping list
- olive oil shopping list
- ½ bunch of fresh parsley finely chopped shopping list
- salt and freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 3 – 4 spoonfuls of ketchup or 1 tablespoonful of sugar. shopping list
How to make it
- We clean and wash the fresh beans.
- We heat oil, just enough to wet pan and sauté the onion and then the beans.
- We add the potatoes after cutting into smaller pieces we blend the tomatoes and add all the other ingredients, as well as some water to cover them, place lid on sauce pan and cook for about 1 hour, on low heat until water is evaporated and we have a nice sauce.
- We serve with feta cheese.
