This is a simple and tasty dish for those who are fed up of eating meat all the time. Of course it can be done with lamb or veal but I prefer it plain.

Ingredients
  • 1 kilo of fresh green runner beans washed and ends broken
  • 1 big onion finely chopped
  • 2 big potatoes cut in 4 or 6 pieces each
  • 1 can (400gr.) of tomatoes in juice or 4 – 5 ripe fresh tomatoes
  • Olive oil
  • ½ bunch of fresh parsley finely chopped
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 – 4 spoonfuls of ketchup or 1 tablespoonful of sugar.

Directions
  1. We clean and wash the fresh beans.
  2. We heat oil, just enough to wet pan and sauté the onion and then the beans.
  3. We add the potatoes after cutting into smaller pieces we blend the tomatoes and add all the other ingredients, as well as some water to cover them, place lid on sauce pan and cook for about 1 hour, on low heat until water is evaporated and we have a nice sauce.
  4. We serve with feta cheese.
