I think this recipe has been around since the invention of Bisquick. When you taste it, you'll understand why it has withstood the test of time!

I had forgotten this recipe. Thanks for the reminder. I'll share with my grand daughter who is learning to cook. In fact I'm emailing her with it! Thank you!

What oven temp? I'm hoping it's 350 because I just made it. =) Will let you know what it taste like. Cross your fingers. =3

So sorry Diana! I can't believe I forgot the temp! Yes, it is 350F. Let me know what you think.

It was very good! I did double it, go casserole style and change a couple of things to suit us but the bones were excellent to add to. It's nice to know there is a potpie recipe out there that you don't have to use "cream of" in. For me, the real blessing was that it took less than 15 minutes to put together. Thank you so much for sharing. =)

Glad you enjoyed it, Diana, and glad you are the type of cook to tweak a recipe to your liking! That's how some of the best recipes are created!

So is the chicken cooked before it goes in the oven or during its time in the oven?

Hi Phil!
Yes, it is cooked chicken used in this recipe. You can cook it most any way you like - I've had good results with baked, grilled, boiled, sauteed, even the chunk chicken in a can, (in an emergency).
