indonesian chilli fish

- 2 tilapia or grouper or other small white flesh fish shopping list
- oil for frying shopping list
- 3 cloves garlic shopping list
- 2 shallots or half of an onion shopping list
- 4 chilli pepper shopping list
- 1 tbs salt shopping list
- 1/2 tbs sugar shopping list
- 2 cups of water shopping list
- pinch of white pepper shopping list
- ground coriander seed powder shopping list
- 200 ml coconut milk shopping list
How to make it
- deep fry the tilapia until golden brown on both sides
- using a mortar and pestel bashed garlic, shallots and chilli snd salt into a fine paste (or just finely sliced them)
- using alittle oil saute this paste with low heat until fragant add water coconut milk and the rest of the ingridients cook until the sauce is thickened,
- taste it should be rich ,hot, spicy and not sweet (sugar is only to balance the flavor not to make it sweet)
- if it's not salty enough you can add alittle more salt
