    Hi there,
I am on a very fixed budget right now and I did a search on cornbread mix, hot dogs and bisquick...and this came up in the search.
I know this recipe doesn't have the baking mix in it but it sounds good. I've played around with adding cheese and canned chili along with hot dogs to cornbread batter-and that came out good. I wouldn't have thought of this combo though.

Thanks for getting me cooking in the kitchen again. I haven't been inspired to cook in awhile!
Any other cool ideas you have; send them my way!

This was extremely cheap! I used leftover hot dogs and leftover chili and just added the cornbread. We ate it all up!

Great dish. It was cheep, easy, tasty, and kid friendly. After first layering the beans and hot dog slices, I had a lot of slices left, so I decided to add another layer of beans and hot dog slices. I also added mustard, brown sugar, & ketchup to the beans. Thanks for the post.

I have never heard of this before, very interesting. I make a similar Beans and Weiners dish but add brown sugar, ketchup and mustard to the beans and also make a paste out of the three ingredients--slice the weiners vertically spread the paste in the weiners and bake. Very tastey, the weiners really brown up nicely w/the sugar paste mixture inside them. :o)
