Potatoes And Onions Southern Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 - 4 medium baking potatoes
  • 2 jumbo or 3 medium Vidalia Sweet Onions
  • 1/2 stick butter or margarine
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Paprika
  • Parsley flakes
  • 1/2 cup water or you can use vegetable or chicken broth
  • Note: If you want, you can add 1 cup of shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions
  1. Scrub potatoes, slice 1/4 inch thick, leaving peel on.
  2. Peel and slice onions.
  3. Layer potatoes and onions in a greased 2 to 3 quart casserole.
  4. Salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Add water or broth.
  6. Slice butter into pats and spread on top of layers.
  7. Sprinkle with paprika and parsley flakes.
  8. Cover and bake at 375° for 30 minutes.
  9. Uncover and continue to bake for 15 minutes.
  10. A perfect side dish with any entree.
  11. Serves 6.
