Cheese Waffles

This is a recipe I obtained from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Crawford Estate in Quinlan, Texas in 1982.
Ingredients
- 2 cups sifted cake flour shopping list
- 3 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 eggs separated shopping list
- 1-1/4 cups bottled milk shopping list
- 6 tablespoons salad oil shopping list
- 1 cup grated American cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
- Beat egg yolks until light then add with milk to dry ingredients.
- Stir in salad oil and cheese then beat well.
- Beat egg whites with a hand or electric beater until stiff then fold into waffle batter.
- Bake according to manufacturer’s directions.
