This is an exceptional recipe, again from one of my Amish books, clueless which one. This is so creamy. I play with the ingredients and it always comes out. I have used heavy cream instead of milk. I have added extra marshmallows & used less chocolate as well. Read more You can adjust to how you like this. This name is the true name of the recipe, lol and boy is it creamy! See less
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup (1 small can) evaporated milk shopping list
- 16 marshmallows shopping list
- 1 1/3 cup sugar shopping list
- ¼ cup butter (or margarine) shopping list
- ¼ teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chip pieces shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts shopping list
How to make it
- Mix first 5 ingredients in saucepan, stirring constsantly. Heat it to boiling. Boil for 5 minutes only, time it.
- Remove from heat. Add chocolate chips, stirring until it is melted. Stir in vanilla and nuts.
- Spread into foil lined 8” square pan. Cool. Makes 2 creamy pounds.
