No Olives - they just look like olives! Got this online, I think. We love it...I added the garlic and italian seasoning. Makes a great presentation.

Ingredients
  • cooking spray
  • 6 lean beef steaks
  • 1 cup seasoned stuffing mix
  • 1/3 cup water or beef stock
  • 1 small onion, sliced thinly
  • 2 (425 g) cans crushed tomatoes
  • 1 T chopped garlic
  • 1/4 cup red wine
  • 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • seasoned salt
  • garlic pepper

Directions
  1. Lightly pound beef steaks with a rolling pin over some plastic to tenderise.
  2. Mix stuffing mix with water or beff stock and divide between steaks.
  3. Roll up and secure with a toothpick.
  4. Sear the steaks with a little cooking spray.
  5. Remove from pan.
  6. Saute onions and garlic in the same pan until soft.
  7. Return the beef rolls and add the crushed tomatoes, red wine, and seasoning
  8. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until tender.
  9. When cooked, slice the beef olives diagonally and serve on a bed of rice or noodles.
  10. Pour some of the sauce over the top and place some crusty bread smeared with olive oil and rubbed with a little garlic on the side.
