How to make it

  • cook beef for 30 mins
  • saute onion with low heat until soft, caramelized and add garlic stir until fragant
  • add the rest of the ingredients, cook for another 30 mins
  • taste, if beef is tender, serve

    I did this recipe and it was very good. If you don't know already you need to use discretion as they normally use a large size wok that cooks much faster than our stove tops. So the addition of the first water is used to boil the meat tender. Then finish adding more or less water down to the texture of sauce you desire as it is a reference only. I suggest getting some experience first before leaving comments as it is not the recipe in question but lack of experience of following cooking directions.

    6 cups of water was WAY too much. I only added 5 cups and it still diluted the heck out of the curry. Made a soup.

    SMELLED great, tasted watery. Would have appreciated clearer cooking instructions than just to "cook" the beef. Heat level, please? Also, this does not take "1 minute" to make, as the recipe specifies.

    This sounds really good. We are always looking for new curry recipes in my house and I particularly like the ones that include coconut. I think I'll try this tonight with some homemade naan bread and rice. Thanks for another great recipe!
