Frosted Pecans

- 1 c sour cream shopping list
- 3 c sugar shopping list
- 1 T vanilla shopping list
- 6 c pecan halves shopping list
How to make it
- Combine sour cream, sugar and vanilla in heavy 4-6 qt saucepan or iron skillet
- Cook over medium to medium-high heat until mixture reaches soft-ball stage (234 degrees on candy thermometer)
- Stir frequently while cooking to prevent scorching
- Add pecans and stir until evenly coated
- Turn onto lightly greased baking sheets, separating nuts with 2 forks
- When completely cooled, store in airtight container
