    I made this yesterday, and I really like it. However, I found the 1/2 cup of brandy to be excessive. You can get drunk off the cookies!! While I'm sure they're loved by brandy lovers, I think the taste would be improved by using a 1/4 cup of brandy. Otherwise, the taste of the alcohol overwhelms the taste of the cookie itself, instead of complimenting it. (I've submitted this under "Alterations" as well.) I will definitely be making them again!

    Oh this sound soooooooooo good. IN yugoslavia we make this cookie we buy special wafers for and make our own waffles with chocolate or lemon cream. Left over waffles we mix the chocolate filling with social teas and roll it up like a salami. so good. I bet these are fabulous. thanks for posting. You are the best!
