3 Way For Yogurt Appetizer

- 4 cups yogurt, plain shopping list
- 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh basil, or 2 teaspoons dried basil shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed (optional) shopping list
- salt to taste shopping list

- 1/4 cup cilantro or white onion shopping list

- 1 teaspoon lemon juice shopping list
- 1/4 cup fresh dill, chopped shopping list
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped shopping list

How to make it
- Strain the yogurt through cheesecloth overnight (if the yogurt is too thin) if not just mix it as is
- Place all ingredients in a blender; then blend for a few moments.
- Place in a serving bowl and chill.
- Serve as a dip with Arabic (pita) bread.
- to serve it with dill:
- Add the chopped herbs and lemon juice to the thickened yogurt.
- Mix well and season with salt and pepper to taste.
