Chocolate Snowballs

- 1 1/4 cups butter, room temperature (REAL butter NOT margarine) shopping list
- 2/3 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract shopping list
- 2 cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans shopping list
- sifted powdered sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy; gradually add sugar and vanilla, beat well
- Combine cocoa, flour, salt, and nuts; gradually add to butter mixture, beating until blended
- Chill for one hour in fridge
- Portion dough into one inch balls; place one inch apart on ungreased baking sheets
- Bake in a preheated 350ยบ oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Cool baked cookies 2 minutes before removing from the baking sheet
- Roll warm cookies in powdered sugar. Roll in powdered sugar again after cookies have completely cooled.
- Store in a airtight container or you can freeze them for one month.
