Pecan Biscuits
From sunny 17 years agoIngredients
- 1 cup whole pecans shopping list
- 2 T olive oil shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups Bisquick baking mix shopping list
- 1 cup whipping cream shopping list
- 2 tablespoons melted butter or margarine shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat over to 450 degrees.
- Heat the olive oil in a heavy skillit - I use cast iron. When it's real hot toss in the pecans and stir them till they start to brown - about 5-7 min. Remove to paper towels to cool a bit then chop them up.**
- In a large bowl, combine baking mix and pecans. Add cream and stir until a soft dough forms. On a lightly floured surface, use a floured rolling pin to roll out dough to 1/2 inch thickness. Use a floured ( or bisquick) 2-inch biscuit cutter to cut out dough. Place on greased baking sheet and brush tops with butter. Bake 7-10 minutes or until light brown.
- **I usually do very large batches of these pecans and store them in the fridge in a plastic container. I put them in EVERYTHING from my cereal in the morning to my salad at night. = )
