How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease 4 qt. Casserole dish.
  • Bring the broth, salt, pepper and garlic powder to a boil in a 2-4qt. saucepan and stir in the grits.
  • Whisk until completely combined.
  • Reduce heat to low and simmer until grits are thick, about 6-10 minutes.
  • Stir in the cubed cheddar and milk.
  • Gradually stir in the eggs and butter until fully combined.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared casserole dish.
  • Sprinkle with the white cheddar and bake for 35-40 minutes or until set.
