Indian Pudding

- 3 cups milk shopping list
- 1/2 cup cornmeal shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg shopping list
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 egg, beaten shopping list
- 1/2 cup molasses shopping list
- 1 cup light cream shopping list
How to make it
- Scald milk in top of double boiler; add cornmeal, spices, and sugar.
- Stir and cook until thick; then cover and cook 20 minutes.
- Mix egg, molasses and cream. Stir into cooked mixture.
- Cover and simmer 1 hour.
- Serve warm with cream or vanilla ice cream.
