Very buttery and rich flavor for banana bread. I don't like banana bread, but I LOVE this one.

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 c butter
  • 3 c sugar
  • 3 c mashed bananas
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 t vanilla
  • 4 c flour
  • 2 t soda
  • 1 t salt
  • 1 c buttermilk or sour milk
  • 1 c nuts (optional)

Directions
  1. Cream butter and sugar
  2. Blend in bananas, eggs and vanilla.
  3. Sift flour, soda and salt
  4. add buttermilk and blend well. Add nuts
  5. Bake in two 9 x 5 x 3 loaf pans, at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
