Easy Fudge-Nut Truffles

- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semisweet chocolate pieces (2 cups) shopping list
- 3/4 cup sweetened condensed milk shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract shopping list
- 1 cup finely chopped walnuts or pecans shopping list
- 1 cup toasted coconut or sprinkles (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- Melt chocolate pieces in top of double boiler or in microwave. Stir in condensed milk and vanilla. Spoon into a small shallow dish; refrigerate 10 to 15 minutes or until firm enough to shape.
- Place nuts in pie plate. With a teaspoon, scoop chilled chocolate mixture, with another spoon push chocolate from spoon into nuts. ( You can also have another pie plate with toasted coconut or sprinkles to vary the selection of truffles.) Quickly roll in nuts shaping into a ball. Place in bon-bon cup. Repeat with remaining chocolate mixture. Refrigerate for up to 4 days.
- These can also be frozen for up to 1 month.
