Holiday Sausage Souffle Recipe
This is a Brookshires recipe.... Its quick and simple ... good for brunch or just breakfast..

Ingredients
  • 1 pound bulk pork sausage, cooked, crumbled and drained.
  • 6 slices bread, crusts removed
  • 3 Tablespoons butter
  • 1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 cups half and half
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard

Directions
  1. Butter bread; cut into cubes.
  2. Arrange in a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle with sausage; top with cheese.
  4. Beat remaining ingredients together and pour over sausage mixture.
  5. Chill overnight.
  6. Bake uncovered 40 to 45 minutes at 350 degrees.

Very good but I think I would use a hot breakfast sausage( I make my own) love eggs,cheese and sausage, a mix that can't be beat.Thanks for the post...have a good week-end...Bob
