Ingredients
  • 1/2 cups butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 2/3 cup eggnog
  • 1/2 tsp rum
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • EGGNOG ICING:
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 5 tbsp eggnog
  • 1 tbsp butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • sprinkles

Directions
  1. Cream margarine and both sugars. Add egg. Beat well
  2. Add eggnog and flavorings, Beat until smooth.
  3. Combine flour, soda, nutmeg. Add to eggnog mixture, mixing well ntil no dry flour remains.
  4. Drop by tbsp 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake 350 degrees 10 - 12 minutes
  6. Let stand on cookie sheets for 5 minutes before removing.
  7. Eggnog icing:
  8. beat first 4 ingredients in a small bowl, adding more sugar or eggnog if necessary until barely pourable consistency
  9. Spoon into paper cone or small resealable resealable freezer bag with tiny piece snipped off corner. Drizzle icing in decorative pattern over each cookie.
