Ingredients
  • 50 ferm Apples
  • 50 sticks
  • 250 ml water (1 cup
  • 1000 ml sugar (800 g ; 4 cups)
  • 20 ml vinegar (2 tablespoons)
  • 200 g syrup (1 cup)
  • 2 ml salt (1/2 teaspoon)
  • 5 ml food colouring (1 teaspoon)

Directions
  1. Press sticks into apples.
  2. Heat up water sugar, vinegar, syrup, colouring and salt over low heat until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Let the syrup go only up to 140 degrees C.
  4. Do not stir syrup after it started boiling.
  5. Place the the heated syrup in ypur pot in a tray of hot water.
  6. Dip the apples one by one into the syrup.
  7. Let the access syrup drip off.
  8. Place on a greased baking sheet.
  9. Let it harden all the way.
  10. Kids love it (and the adults with teeth!!)
