Toffee-Apples

- 50 ferm apples shopping list
- 50 sticks shopping list
- 250 ml water (1 cup shopping list
- 1000 ml sugar (800 g ; 4 cups) shopping list
- 20 ml vinegar (2 tablespoons) shopping list
- 200 g syrup (1 cup) shopping list
- 2 ml salt (1/2 teaspoon) shopping list
- 5 ml food colouring (1 teaspoon) shopping list
How to make it
- Press sticks into apples.
- Heat up water sugar, vinegar, syrup, colouring and salt over low heat until the sugar is dissolved.
- Let the syrup go only up to 140 degrees C.
- Do not stir syrup after it started boiling.
- Place the the heated syrup in ypur pot in a tray of hot water.
- Dip the apples one by one into the syrup.
- Let the access syrup drip off.
- Place on a greased baking sheet.
- Let it harden all the way.
- Kids love it (and the adults with teeth!!)
