How to make it

  • Cook onions and garlic in hot oil until tender, do not brown.
  • Add meat and brown lightly.
  • Add remaining ingredients and simmer, uncovered, about 2 1/2 hours.
  • Stir occasionally.

    A nice sauce. Watch it for burning as it nears the end of simmer. Thought I would get to freeze some of this but used it all. Used this with: Meat Filled Manicotti/saved
    Snip the whole tomatoes after you pour them into the simmer pot to help them break down.
