Apple Cheese Bread Recipe

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  • Cream butter, shortening and sugar. Add beaten eggs and mix well. Add apples, cheese and nuts.
  • Add sifted dry ingredients and mix lightly.
  • Bake in a greased 9"x5" loaf pan for 50 to 60 minutes.

    This apple cheese bread was absolutely delicious! My husband does not care for nuts in things, but he even liked it. Very moist. The only thing I had a bit of trouble with was that it was a bit on the crumbly side. I wonder if I put too much apple in it. I tried to put the 1 1/2 cup, but I ground two granny smith and it was a tad over. Also didn't have sharp cheddar cheese so used monteray jack. Was excellent, though! Thanks! (Again, I hope you don't mind my uploading a picture!)
