Best Ever Beef Stroganoff Recipe
I am one of the few people I know that doesn't add tomato paste to my stroganoff. But I have always found that simple is best.

Ingredients
  • 1 Kg Beef strips
  • 2 Large onions
  • About 4 LARGE handfuls of mushrooms
  • 4 Cloves of Garlic
  • 1 Small tin of condenced butter mushroom sauce.
  • Fresh thyme
  • 2 Tablespoons of Butter
  • 2 Tubs of sour cream.
  • Rice to serve

Directions
  1. In a large pot, melt the butter.
  2. Add crushed garlic cloves dice onions and the beef strips, and cook on a moderate temp until the beef is browned and the onions are translutent.
  3. Add in the mushrooms stir is until covered in the butter and beef juices. Cook down until the mushrooms are soft.
  4. Add the bunch of thyme ( this is about a handful, stalks removed.), and the tin of butter mushroom sauce stir in.
  5. Mix in the sour cream until everything has melted together.
  6. simmer for 15 min covered on a low temp.
  7. Serve on top of a bed of rice.
