Ingredients
  • 1lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/4 lb.pork sausage
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3 slices bread, crumbled
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. ground sage
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 4 strips raw bacon
  • 4 T. chili sauce

Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients except last 3.
  2. Dissolve bouillon in the boiling water and add mixture.
  3. Shape into a loaf and place in greased baking pan.
  4. Top with bacon strips and chili sauce. After meat has baked approximately 25 minutes drain some grease, return to oven for remaining time.
  5. Bake in moderate (350 degree) oven 45-50 minutes.
