Grandmothers Easy Rice Recipe
This was a recipe my grandmother fixed for many potlucks and became a fast favorite.

Ingredients
  • 1 can french onion soup
  • 1 can Uncle Ben's Converted Rice
  • 1 can mushrooms
  • 1 can water chestnuts(sliced)
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 1 stick oleo or butter
  • 1 cup water

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  2. Spray 2 quart casserole dish with cooking oil.
  3. Put all ingredients in the dish.
  4. Cover with aluminum foil.
  5. Bake for 1 hour at 300 degrees.
  6. Remove from oven and stir before serving.
  7. This recipe got used so much that the card that my grandmother gave my Mom got very faded. I reproduced the recipe for our Family Cookbook so the recipe would live on.
