Chewy Walnut Bar Cookies

I love these cookies but I ended up eating most of them because I couldn't cut them nice enough to give away ( wink wink) the recipe came from a can of Diamond Walnuts.
Ingredients
- 1 egg, unbeaten shopping list
- 1 cup packed brown sugar ( I use light brown ) shopping list
- 1 teasp. vanilla shopping list
- 1/2 cup flour shopping list
- 1/4 teasp. baking soda shopping list
- 1/4 teasp. salt shopping list
- 1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts shopping list
How to make it
- stir together the egg, brown sugar and the vanilla
- mix in the flour, soda, and salt
- add the walnuts mix
- spread in a greased 8 inch square pan
- bake at 350' for 18-20 mins
- cookies should be soft in the middle when taken out of the oven
- cool in pan
- makes 16 ..( 2 inch) squares

This is an old recipe my grandma found in her mothers recipe book, we took it and added a 1/2 cube of unsalted butter sooooo yummy!!!!!!

Gonna make this one and use Splenda brown sugar and WW flour... sounds so good!!
