I love these cookies but I ended up eating most of them because I couldn't cut them nice enough to give away ( wink wink) the recipe came from a can of Diamond Walnuts.

- 1 egg, unbeaten
- 1 cup packed brown sugar ( I use light brown )
- 1 teasp. vanilla
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 teasp. baking soda
- 1/4 teasp. salt
- 1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts

Ingredients

1 egg, unbeaten shopping list
1 cup packed brown sugar ( I use light brown ) shopping list
1 teasp. vanilla shopping list
1/2 cup flour shopping list
1/4 teasp. baking soda shopping list
1/4 teasp. salt shopping list
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts shopping list

How to make it

stir together the egg, brown sugar and the vanilla
mix in the flour, soda, and salt
add the walnuts mix
spread in a greased 8 inch square pan
bake at 350' for 18-20 mins
cookies should be soft in the middle when taken out of the oven
cool in pan
makes 16 ..( 2 inch) squares

This is an old recipe my grandma found in her mothers recipe book, we took it and added a 1/2 cube of unsalted butter sooooo yummy!!!!!!

Hi! I did make them yesterday and took them to a meeting that I went to last night. Everyone liked them. They taste like a chocolate cookie without the chocolate (does that make sense?) I'm going to make them thinner next time by cooking them in a bigger pan. I had doubled the recipe so I had plenty to share! Just to let you know, there wasn't one left for me at the end of the meeting so I'm just going to have to make them again!

Just made these! WOW.. I ate 4 pieces while they were still warm! I used Splenda brown sugar and WW flour.. sooooooooooooooooooo goooooooooooooooooooood.. Deserves a 5 for sure!
