Ingredients

How to make it

  • Mix cheese, margarine, yolk and sugar well together.
  • Sift flour and baking powder.
  • Mix together with the cheese mixture.
  • Mix until a stiff, but still soft dough which could be rolled out.
  • Place in fridge for an hour to rest.
  • Roll out just half of the dough between two sheets of wax paper until quite thin.
  • Cut into squares.
  • Cut each point of the square inwards.
  • Fold one point of each side inwards and press down.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes at 180 deg C (360 deg F) until golden brown.
  • Take out.
  • Sift icing sugar over.
  • Put a bit of jam in the middle.
  • Serve when cooled down.

    Those are so nice looking. I saw a recipe for a sugar cookie that looks the same those. What they did was sprinkle red sugar on every point then put a green cherry in the center. They looked just like poinsettias for Christmas. I wonder if that would be suitable for your recipe Liezel? :)
