How to make it

  • Fry bacon in pan until it is done the way you like it (crispy or soft).
  • Drain bacon grease into bowl or cup – save for later.
  • Add tomatoes, water, and sugar.
  • Stir well. Add about 1/4 – 1/2 cup of the bacon grease.
  • Cook on medium-low heat for about 15 minutes.
  • Taste broth, add salt and pepper to your liking.
  • Cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Serve over rice.

    Yum, both your recipe & Ravenseyes' suggestion sound great! And, once again, gluten free! Are you sure you are a "regular" person?!! So far, I've only found gluten free stuff in your recipes! I thank you!! :o)

    I have a very similar recipe but you add onions, garlic and curry to it - tastes great
