Sour Cream Sugar Cookies Recipe

this is a large soft sugar cookie.. It was on my cookie Christmas list but I never got to make them.. They just sound like the sugar cookies I remember as a child.. the recipe is from Heartland.

Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks) softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 Jumbo eggs
- 2 teasp. vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 teasp. baking soda
- 4 cups flour
- 2 teasp. baking powder
- 1/2 teasp. salt
- 1/4 teasp. cinnamon
- 1/4 teasp. nutmeg
Directions
- in a large mixing bowl: cream butter 3 mins on medium speed
- add sugar, cream for 3 mins longer
- add eggs 1 at a time. beat well after each egg
- add vanilla
- in small bowl: combine sour cream and the baking soda
- sift together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg
- to butter mixture: alternately add the flour mixture and the sour cream
- starting with the flour mixture and ending with the flour mixture
- drop by teaspoon onto a greased tin foil lined cookie sheet
- 12 cookies to a cookie sheet. spaced 1 1/2 inches apart
- bake at 350' F for 8-10 mins. do not brown the tops
- cool on paper lined cookie racks.
