How to make it

  • in a large mixing bowl: cream butter 3 mins on medium speed
  • add sugar, cream for 3 mins longer
  • add eggs 1 at a time. beat well after each egg
  • add vanilla
  • in small bowl: combine sour cream and the baking soda
  • sift together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg
  • to butter mixture: alternately add the flour mixture and the sour cream
  • starting with the flour mixture and ending with the flour mixture
  • drop by teaspoon onto a greased tin foil lined cookie sheet
  • 12 cookies to a cookie sheet. spaced 1 1/2 inches apart
  • bake at 350' F for 8-10 mins. do not brown the tops
  • cool on paper lined cookie racks.
