How to make it

  • Brown ground beef, drain fat.
  • Add butter to meat, melt.
  • Stir in 1/2 can of milk, bring to a low simmer.
  • Add seasoning to your liking.
  • Whisk together flour and remaining milk, making sure you removed all of the lumps.
  • Pour flour and milk mixture into meat mixture while you continuously stir.
  • Cook on med ium-low heat until bubbly.
  • Serve over toast.

    This is another of your recipes that take me back to my youth! My dad loved this stuff - he was in the army air force during WWII. This is real comfort food. Think I'll make this this week. Gluten-free, of course. I'll simply substitute cornstarch for flour, measure for measure and serve on gluten-free bread. Thanks, Possum Queen!
