How to make it

  • Heat oven to 375 degrees. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl until pecans are evenly coated.
  • Cover a cookie sheet with foil wrap - spread well coated pecans in a single layer on cookie sheet. Stir once or twice while baking for 7-8 minutes - seperate any nuts that have clumped together - cool completely before storing - these make great little gift bags - I place them inside a unique coffee mug along with either a single serving size speciality coffee or hot chocolate - its one of those things you can have sitting around at the holiday time or anytime for that matter.
  • Store any nuts in an air tight container and in the freezer if storing for greater than 10 days - of course I want to see these last longer than minutes!!!!

This looks really good. I have been trying to dream up a similar recipe using cayenne pepper, thought it might work. I think I will use yours and add or substitute cayenne. Thanks for the post.
