Brown Sugar Syrup Recipe

This is the kids favorite syrup.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup water
Directions
- Put brown sugar and butter in a sauce pan.
- Melt together.
- Add vanilla and water.
- Heat on meduim/high heat until it boils.
- Turn down a touch and boil for 5 minutes.
- -
- We alter this a little by adding different flavorings. Cherry, rum, chocolate, add your favorite. Kids think this is the bomb....

- NOTE: Good idea from shirleyoma, use splenda brown sugar instead to make it for everyone and better for you!

I was just in the past couple of days thinking of how when we were kids we would do this sugar/water syrup on the stove when we were outta pancake syrup...wish we woulda had this recipe then! lol
