CROCK POT VERY RICH BEEF STEW This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Harrell Estate in Rockwall, Texas in 1987.

Ingredients
  • 1-1/2 pounds stew beef in 1/2 inch cubes
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 4 small garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon or more to taste
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 tablespoons raisins
  • 2 whole cloves

Directions
  1. Mix all ingredients in crock pot then cover and cook on low four hours.
