How to make it

  • Potatoes:
  • peel (optional) potatoes & chop into approx 1inch cubes.
  • par-boil for 5 mins.
  • place in baking tray with oilve oil ensuring an oil film covering all cube surfaces.
  • Add finely chopped half chilli to tray (optional).
  • Cook at 180degC for 20 mins.
  • Sauce:
  • Finely chop onions & pepper and add to warm pan with 1 tbl spoon of oil. Fry for 5 mins then add chopped garlick. After 3 mins add remainder of chillies finely chopped. After 3 mins add tin chopped tomatoes, Worcester Sauce & Paprika. Simmer for 10 mins, reducing by 25%. Add chillies or chillie powder to tase if you like it realy spicy.
  • Add large glass of red wine (optional) Add creme fresh and stir in.
  • When potatoes are ready/golden, take from oven serve on plate and add a large spoonfulls of the sauce on top.
  • Some resteraunts I have visited in Barcelona add a "dollop" of mayonnaise to the top of the sauce (optional) - or even underneath the sauce (on top of the potatoes). Enjoy.
