Chocolate Shortbread

- 8 Tablespoons, (one stick), unsalted butter, room temperature shopping list
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup confectioners sugar shopping list
- 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 300
- With an electric mixer, beat butter until creamy.
- Add flour, sugar, and cocoa; mix just until combined. (If dough is too soft to handle, chill in the refrigerator for 10 minutes)
- Pat dough into an 8-inch round cake pan; press edges down with the tines of a floured fork.
- Bake until firm; 30 minutes.
- Score into eight wedges and cool completely.
- Turn out of pan, and break wedges apart.
- This can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days

I've always wanted a chocolate shortbread recipe! This sounds "maaaavelous"! ;) Shortbread is great crumbled over ice cream too!
