Marinated Beef Brisket Recipe
This takes a while since it does have to marinade over night, but it's well worth it. Enjoy!

Ingredients
  • 2 pounds beef brisket
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1/4 cup dijon style mustard
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

Directions
  1. Place brisket in 13x9 (3-quart) glass baking dish or large resealable
  2. plastic bag.
  3. In medium bowl, combine all remaining ingredients; mix
  4. well.
  5. Pour over brisket, turning to coat; cover dish or seal bag.
  6. Refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.
  7. Heat oven 325F.
  8. Drain brisket, reserving marinade.
  9. Place brisket and half of marinade (about 1-3/4 cups) in 13x9 baking dish; cover.
  10. Discard remaining marinade.
  11. Bake at 325 for 4 hours or until tender.
  12. Typically we marinate it overnight and cook for 4 hours (no longer).

This sounds very good


I see quite a few brisket recipes that have carrots and potatoes cooked with the meat. Is that possible with this dish? if so, would I need to make any changes? I only ask because I think your marinade idea makes your brisket look best!!
